About Us
OUR STAFF
Pastor David and his wife Carrie have been married since 1983 and have 4 children and 16 grandchildren. They served over 40 years in ministry at Pear Park Baptist in Colorado before moving to South Carolina in the summer of 2024. In January 2025, Pastor David became the pastor of Lighthouse Baptist Church. With degrees from Bob Jones University and a lifelong passion for Christian education, the Davids love serving the Lord and working with people of all ages.

Lighthouse Baptist Church is an independent, fundamental Baptist church with a heart for God and a love for people. Since 1972, we’ve served the Newberry community through Bible preaching, traditional music, discipleship, and outreach.
OUR MISSION
It is our mission at Lighthouse Baptist Church to bring glory to God by evangelizing the lost, exemplifying the Savior, edifying the church, and equipping the saints, through prayer, Scripture, holiness, ministry, and the Holy Spirit’s leading.
